The Writers – Catherine Bray and Sarah Hunt
Catherine Bray is an award-nominated writer, broadcaster and critic. Editor of Film4.com and regular guest on BBC1’s Film 2013, she has also contributed to the Guardian, Time Out, Radio 4 and BBC3, and was profiled in 2012 by Broadcast magazine as one of the industry’s brightest talents under 30.
Sarah Hunt is currently channelling her inner Peggy Olsen as a professional copywriter while working on a series of young adult fiction novels; The Silver Sound Trilogy. She will be a contributing writer to The 24 Hour Plays Project, at the Rondo Theatre in July.
Writing credits include a series of murder mystery plays, including a production at Durham University.
Catherine and Sarah first met in 1999 and have been writing together for just over a year. The Other Plans is the first play they have written together.
The Director – Kate Murphy
Kate trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts on the Theatre Directing course, graduating in 2011. The Producer – Meera Shaunak
Meera graduated from Brunel University as the Sheridan Award Holder in Drama and Music. She co-produced Spearshaker Theatre’s first show, MSND, which premièred at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In February 2012 she produced PROTEST! a night of 4 short plays, centred around the theme of ‘protest’ which showcased the talent of new writers, directors and actors. She also produced Spearshaker Theatre’s sell out new writing production, The Games in July 2012.
