Spearshaker Theatre was established in 2005 by Kate Murphy. The first production staged was an adaptation of A Midsummer Nights Dream entitled MSND. The show ran for two consecutive years at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival at the Bedlam Theatre and Augustines Venue.

Spearshaker was relaunched in 2011 by Kate Murphy and Meera Shaunak and is now returning with a new show - Protest! Bringing together a new company of writers, directors and actors to stage this exciting one off production.
